Our company based in Kolkata, West Bengal is providing premium quality Dry Ice Blasting Services that are known in the market for flexibility, cost effectiveness, reliability and more. This process is a method of cleaning which work with a continuous supply of compressed air for accelerating as well as conveying ice particles to high speed. In addition to this, the particles of ice are chucked out from a nozzle to the area where cleaning is required. Dry Ice Blasting Services are provided 24x7 and offer timely execution. We have a team of professionals, who make sure that the surface is properly cleaned.
Dry Ice is produced at our manufacturing facility at Noorpur, West Bengal and is marketed under the brand "Polarice".
What is dry ice blasting?
It is a form of carbon dioxide cleaning wherein the dry ice particles are subjected at 6 to 10 bar air pressure at a surface, which results in their cleaning.
Dry Ice Blasting Machine
The machine is used for crushing 3 mm dry ice pellets into a number of fine particles. It is also used for projecting the pellets at 6 to 10 bar air pressure to the surface, which requires cleaning.
How Dry Ice Blasting Works?
Stage 1: A jet nozzle is present in the machine, which is used for shooting out the pellets of dry ice, which are very small in size (similar to that of a rice). For this process, compressed air is used, which is similar to the processes of sandblasting, steam blasting and high pressure water blasting, but delivers exceptional results.
Stage 2: The temperature of dry ice is -78.5OC. When it is blasted against the material, which requires removal, it results the ice to shrink as well as loose adhesion from its sub-surface. In addition, the dry ice is contacted with the underlying surface, upon the penetration of the dry ice through the material.
Step 3: Dry ice gets converted to CO2 gas due to the warmer sub surfaces. The said gas has more than 700 time volume and it keeps on expanding behind the material, which results in its fast removal.
Step 4 : At the end of dry ice blasting process, the surface is completely clean and intact. It is important to dispose off the material which is removed during the time dry ice is subliming into the atmosphere.
